I’m Paige Wassel. WAS the Newsletter is your weekly dose of design inspiration, where I wouldn’t make other plans for 11:00 a.m. PT on Sunday.

THE HOME TOTE 2.0 LAUNCH

Mark your calendars because the Home Tote line launches this Sunday, 4/6, at 11:00 a.m. PT at WAS. I’m giving the time exclusively to subscribers, so if you feel special, you should go with that feeling.

These totes went over so well last time that now they’re back by popular demand. I’ve been working on them all year and I am psyched for ya’ll to have ‘em. Lemme say this—it was a totes labor of love. Heh. From sourcing the upholstery fabric to designing the product to directing the photo shoot, all of it was a peak experience and also a ton of work lol.

What’s exciting is that we’ve got new colors, new fabrics, and a new pouch trio. What will you do with these bags? I think the question is, What won’t you do with them?

First up, we have what I’m calling the Chicago Bull because the black and red stripe gave me a real vintage Michael Jordan jersey vibe. There’s nothing I love more than combining an old-school preppy feel with a sporty touch. The lining is a fun jersey (there’s that word again) material and I luvvvvvv.

Next, if you love the style but you want bolder colors, I got you, boo. This one is a cute gray with vertical orange stripes, but what really sets it apart is the yellow seatbelt-type fabric for the strap. If you’re traveling overseas, this kind of heavy-duty strap is key because it can’t easily be slashed and grabbed.

If a bigger tote is more your bag, check out this slouch style, which comes in a creamy color, a royal red, and one that I call subway-style because the velvety fabric reminds me of the kind of material you’d see on an old train seat. (It’s giving Office Supplies.)

These three totes are awesome because you can wear them as a crossbody, so they work equally well for whatever your purpose—going on a hike, commuting to the office, shopping at the farmer’s market, hauling stuff for your ungrateful kids, etc.

One of my fav vintage fabric finds. This deep purple diagonal and dot wine tote. Is this my favorite of the collection? Sometimes I do think so….

And here is Grandpa Joe. Love the pop of blue in the subtle plaid. Plus it’s a great shape and it’s roomy for all your snacks.

I’m calling this one the Velma 2.0. Velma was really well-received last time, so this time we made her with a little twist. Instead of the red/orange piping, we went with a dark green. Will this haul everything? Yes. Do you want it even though you bought the Velma 1.0? I’m betting you do.

Everyone loved the wine totes last time, so they are back, baby! I’ve named this style The Collegiate and it is the ideal size for carrying a little something to a dinner party. If you want to be a true hero, gift the tote and the wine. But given how cute the vintage floral fabric is, no judgement if you wanna keep the tote for yourself.

In the same shape, here’s one with plaid straps and a subtle sheen. It’s the perfect size to carry when you’re going out for the night. Big enough for the necessities, small enough to not be a bother.

Finally, I’m PUMPED for the pouch trio. They come in a three-pack. The biggest pouch is perfect for travel, like for holding items such as shampoo. I like the medium one for keeping cords/electronics organized inside my totes. The smallest one is a great size for carrying your contacts or, if you’re going to the White Lotus, your lorazepam. (It’s a real, “Piper, yeeessss,” for me.)

While there are more of some styles than others, depending on how much yardage I was able to source, keep in mind that supplies are limited.

These will be gone fast, so make sure you’re hitting WAS before you head to brunch this weekend!

xx,

Paige
