Shop This F***ing Home
Everyone loved Lulu LaFortune’s home tour last week—no surprise there! Her place is basically perfect. If you’re eager to shop the look, here’s exactly how you can recreate her vibe in your f***ing home.
Could they also be made into bunk beds? That’s TBD. But they will 100% hold your bits, your bobs, and your digitally printed hearts with hands.
This striking charcoal piece was created by Maxime Mballa-Tagny, an artist based out of Savannah, GA. I love how it’s not just a beautiful piece of art—it’s meaningful for Lulu and Cameron, too.
Created by yours truly. She’s an icon, she’s a legend.
The rest of the items in the living room are vintage—the lamps, the sofas, the coffee table, the side table, and the bookshelves. These were all sourced via Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace. (Do I even need to tell you to always check there first?)
Nordic Knots’ credo is that great textiles are foundational and they transform houses into (f***ing) homes, happily marrying function with aesthetics.
If you know me, you know how I love a good coffee table book. I highly recommend this one that Lulu has displayed on her coffee table, an incredible collection called Greco Disco by Luke Edward Hall. (Oh yeah, and that resin heart with the arms is Cameron’s!)
I’m smitten with this idea because I loathe looking at a big black box on the wall. This is such an elegant solution.
The actual basket is vintage. But, this one’s a similar piece available from Amsterdam Modern, an LA source for all things MCM.
THE LE CREUSET AND MATILDA GOAD & CO KITCHENWARE
You don’t have to be a great cook to own Le Creuset and Matilda Goad & Co. But what they don’t tell you is how much you’ll up your cooking game by using the best products. Try to ruin a curry in an enameled iron Le Creuset Dutch oven—you can’t.
Paying attention to small details like cord color are what make a home like Lulu’s absolutely shine.
Have you ever seen a better example of “pop of color” in your life?
If you, like Lulu, want an ethereal feel to your office, adding furnishings like these ones from Nan Collective can help your workspace feel a little more elegant.
The cork board is another hack, especially if you want to surround yourself with inspiration.
The desk is a 78” Ikea table with an attached skirt—simple, yet so inventive!
The is fixture’s color is called cream pudding. How could it not be delicious? It’s from Vakker Lighting and it’s made of matte, mouth-blown glass.
The swirling vines quilt is from Nickey Kehoe’s Les Indiennes collection. It’s block-printed by hand using organic cotton and natural dyes and is nothing short of being a work of art in and of itself.
The silk indigo pillows are also from Nickey Kehoe. They’re filled with feather and down so they maintain their structure.
These pieces are vintage, from Amsterdam Modern, but here’s a similar set from Golden Oldies Antiques.
Scent is an important part of your home and something you have to consider when thinking about interior design. It turns out that smell is kind of hard to capture on video, but just believe me when I say that Lulu’s place smelled incredible, And it’s all thanks to this incense (that’s not too incense-y).
Bathrooms are great places to showcase bold, patterned wallpapers. Lulu went with “Still Garden Green,” a collab between Koi Color Studio and belarteSTUDIO, and it really adds so much character to the space.
I kind of hate bringing this tour to an end. Every inch of this home is as beautiful as it is functional, which is always the goal. If you’re sad too, why not subscribe to Lulu’s newsletter?
